The Job
The Category Finance team business partners with the Marketing Teams to assist them drive the strategy, track financial performance and reporting of the category and also budgeting and ad-hoc analysis of data
Qualifications/ Experience
- Professional finance qualification, e.g. CIMA
- 2-4 Years of work experience in a management accounting role.
The role
- Requires a high level of interaction with various stakeholders across the category as well as across geographies.
- The position requires direct support of a senior leader within the organisation, therefore the candidate should be confident in their interactions with stakeholders demonstrating exceptional inter personal skills.
- verbal and written communication skills are critical for the role.

Key Responsibilities
• Finance member on the project team with key roles to: - evaluate and Compile project financials - Challenge assumptions to ensure they reflect in-market realities
• Reporting , budgeting and analysis of marketing spends to ensure amounts spent are in line with plan, procedures are being followed and ROMI guidelines are being met to get the maximum benefit for the amounts spent.
• Compilation of 5 year Strategic plans in conjunction with marketing/CMI teams
• Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis including white space opportunities and competitor performance reviews as needed
• Analyse submitted results and forecasts across the region to provide timely information to management with regard to: - Whether results are in line with plan - Explanation of Key variances and mitigation plans - Implementation of key plans are reflected in the results category and brand profitability (ad hoc) - Continuously driving Gross Margin improvement
